Kate Belles is a developing artist at Grand Canyon University studying for her BA in Dance for Secondary Education. She works currently as a choreographer for pom/dance teams around the valley such as Youngker High School, Cactus High School, and Buckeye Union High School. She also works and travels under a company, United Spirit Association (USA) as a song/pom instructor to teach material, hold technique classes, unify teams to prepare them for competition, and evaluate performances for teams along the west coast of the United States. Belles performs professionally under Trinity Gracia with AnthroArts Collective and has done so at the Arizona Dance Festival and the Tempe Center for the Arts "Dance Tempe" show. She also teaches contemporary and jazz in studios across the valley. Belles creates work for the reasoning of understanding the human experience and how movement can be interpreted in many different ways. Emphasizing in modern/contemporary fusion movement, she tries narrating a story or encapsulating a human concept.
Belles also is an upcoming DJ by gaining experience through booths in clubs, a personal DJ board, and collaboration with other DJ's booked in downtown Phoenix. Her understanding of music and its interpretation prompts her dancing, and her understanding of music gives her an ear for the DJ booth.
